Montessori Pedagogy is an educational approach developed by Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori. it is an education for life based on her extensive research with "phrenasthenic" or "special needs" children and characterized by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child’snatural psychological, physical, and social development.

What kind of activities happening in Montessori environment:
There are five different areas in a Montessori casa environment:

Practical Life activities:including care of the environment, self-care, grace and courtesy and control of movement, aiming to help children to develop a sense of order, independence and the ability to adapt to the environment.

Sensory activities:help children to establish concepts of abstraction through practical materials and activities, combining sensory experience with practical world, letting them have the experience of applying theory into practice.

Language activities:Start from the enrichment of vocabulary to writing and reading, language is not only an area in the Montessori environment but runs parallel with other activities in the classroom. The environment is designed that all activities feed naturally toward the development of the skills required for learning language - writing and reading.

Math activities:From simple to complex, from concrete to abstract, it helps the children understand concepts of Math, Decimal System, Four Operations and Fraction, etc. Children will get in touch with Math in good mood, laying a solid foundation for further study of Math.

Others include cultural activities(Geography, Biology, Zoology Science, Arts, etc.) as well as Crafts, Physical Ability, Music, all of these are carried out alternatively in the environment.
